Proud to see this work featured by LAist.

For too long, families in the Inland Empire have been forced to navigate a child care system that simply does not have enough capacity to meet the need. Riverside County is a child care desert, and building more opportunities for families requires us to think differently about how we invest in our communities.

I’m grateful to have played a role in helping advance this conversation and build toward new child care opportunities in Moreno Valley, Perris, and across our region.

This is about more than child care. It’s about parents being able to work, children having access to quality early learning, and communities having the infrastructure they need to thrive.

There is still work ahead, but this is what it looks like when we stop waiting for solutions to come to us and start building them ourselves.
