For much of our nationโs history, the right to vote was denied to Black Americans, Native Americans, and many other communities because of discrimination and exclusion.
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was a landmark step toward changing that.
Sixty-one years later, voting rights continue to face threats under the current administration. We must continue defending every eligible Americanโs freedom to vote.
Democracy works best when everyone can participate.
