Oregon OSHA is sharing the work of Oregon Young Employee Safety (O[yes]) Coalition 2026 media contest finalists. The media contest puts a spotlight on the importance of young workers’ safety and health, with a focus this year on staying safe in the heat. The competition challenged high school students across Oregon to create compelling videos or graphic designs that inspire young workers to take the Oregon OSHA heat illness prevention online course at https://osha.oregon.gov/edu/courses/Pages/heat-illness-prevention-online-course.aspx.
This week, we are highlighting the second place video winner, “Heat Check,” from Parkrose High School in Portland. View the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xENz6r2Rzvo.
