New homes are coming to Glendale!

Community Development Corporation of Utah is breaking ground this fall on Gladhouse Cottages, eight income-restricted single-family homes at 1084 W. 1700 South, built on a community land trust model for long-term affordability.

Before shovels hit the ground, the site needed an environmental assessment, funded through our EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant. That let CDCU put its own resources toward building instead of covering that upfront cost, turning an underused parcel into new homes.

Where’s Economic Development?

This one isn't exactly fair, but it took a serious negotiation just to get this photo during a hard hat tour! Within these 5-foot-thick concrete walls is a first-of-its-kind system that will produce nuclear isotopes used to help diagnose and treat cancer.

Answer:

Nusano, Inc in West Valley City plans to produce up to 40 different nuclear isotopes and up to 12 at a time. Nusano is also the leading tenant in the redevelopment of Lake Park.
