Nearly 2,000 Harlandale ISD staff members came together for our 2026 Staff Convocation, the first districtwide event held inside the new Edmundo M. Zaragoza Multipurpose Center!

With this year's theme, Building Futures, our staff celebrated the start of a new school year and the important role they play in creating opportunities for our students. Here's to an incredible 2026-27 school year!

As we prepare for the new school year, Harlandale ISD is reminding families that all students PK-12 will be required to use clear or mesh backpacks that meet District guidelines beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

We've put together a quick guide showing what's allowed and what's not allowed, including clear backpacks, mesh backpacks, personal pouches and common backpack styles that do not meet District requirements.

Mientras nos preparamos para el nuevo año escolar, Harlandale ISD recuerda a las familias que, a partir del ciclo escolar 2026-2027, todos los estudiantes de prekínder a 12.º grado deberán utilizar mochilas transparentes o de malla que cumplan con las normas del Distrito.

Hemos preparado una guía rápida que muestra qué está permitido y qué no, incluyendo información sobre mochilas transparentes, mochilas de malla, estuches personales y estilos comunes de mochilas que no cumplen con los requisitos del Distrito.
