We stopped by Victory Elementary during Meet the Teacher on August 6, and the excitement was easy to see! Families had the chance to step inside this brand-new school, meet their teachers, explore classrooms and get ready for a great year ahead.

It was a special evening across all of our elementary campuses as students and families connected with teachers and staff before the big day. We’ll see everyone Monday for the first day of school!

As we prepare to welcome students back on Monday, we'd like to ask our East Central ISD community for one simple thing:

Grace.

The first few days of school are exciting, but they're also a time of adjustment for everyone. Students are learning new routines, teachers are welcoming new faces, bus drivers are learning every stop, and campuses are working to ensure every child gets where they need to be safely.

You may notice:

Heavier traffic around our schools.
Bus routes taking a little longer than usual.
Minor schedule adjustments as campuses finalize enrollment and student schedules.

Our priority is simple: the safety and success of every student. Taking a few extra moments to ensure students are on the right bus, in the right classroom, and safely arriving at school is always worth it.

Thank you to our teachers, bus drivers, child nutrition staff, custodians, police officers, administrators, and support staff who have worked tirelessly to prepare for a great school year.

And thank you to our families and community for your patience, kindness, and partnership. Together, we'll make it another outstanding year at East Central ISD.

We caught up with Valor Middle School's sixth-grade families yesterday as they explored their beautiful new campus, met teachers and staff, and prepared for an exciting new school year.

Best of luck to the entire Valor community as they begin this special first year! We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for the first day of school.

The countdown is on—East Central ISD students return to school on Monday!

A new school year means new teachers, new classmates, new opportunities, and thousands of students heading back to our campuses.

As our community prepares for the first day, we'd like to ask everyone to begin thinking about school zone safety. Over the next few days, we'll be sharing important reminders to help ensure every student arrives safely.

Thank you for helping us make the 2026-2027 school year a safe and successful one. We can't wait to welcome our students back!
