The Early College High School (ECHS) Program at Southside High School earned the prestigious Designation with Distinction from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) based on the 2025–2026 Outcome-Based Measures Report.

This recognition was achieved by meeting the Designation and Distinction criteria across all four performance categories: ECHS Access, ECHS Attainment, ECHS Achievement, and ECHS Program Status. This accomplishment reflects the program’s commitment to providing students with exceptional opportunities for college and career success.

The Matthey Middle School BBQ Pitmasters had an outstanding showing at the National BBQ Championships this week in Colony, Texas!

We are incredibly proud of all of our students who competed and represented Matthey throughout this BBQ season. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork were on full display all year long.

Special congratulations to our Flaming Cardinals BBQ Team for earning 7th Place Overall at the National Championships!
