📣 YMCA Pre-K After-School Registration is Open! 🧸✨

Families with Pre-K students, registration is now open for the 2026–2027 YMCA After-School Program at Hawthorne Academy!

The YMCA program provides a safe, engaging environment where students can enjoy nutritious meals, hands-on activities, circle time, and interest centers after school.

🚨 Please Note: As of today, our Kindergarten–8th Grade YMCA after school program has reached capacity. At this time, only Pre-K registration is available.

📍 Program Details:
• Ages: 3–5 years
• Cost: $65/week
• Registration: www.ymcasatx.org
• Financial assistance may be available through the YMCA Open Door Scholarship Program.

We encourage interested Pre-K families to register as soon as possible. We look forward to another great year of learning, growing, and having fun after school! 🐻❤️

After first day of school drop off head next door to The Creamery for our 2nd annual Boo Hoo Ya Hoo event sponsored by Trinity University and enjoy some complimentary coffee, light refreshments, and great conversation with other Hawthorne Academy, SAISD caregivers. See you there!

📱 Important Reminder for Hawthorne Families

As we prepare for a successful school year, we encourage all families to take a few minutes to review our updated Electronic Device Policy. This letter outlines our campus procedures for cell phones and other personal electronic devices, as well as the expectations and consequences for violations.

Our goal is to create a focused learning environment where students can fully engage in their education while ensuring families can still reach their child through the front office in the event of an emergency.

Thank you for partnering with us to support a safe, distraction-free learning environment. Please review the attached policy with your child before the first day of school. 🐻❤️

📢 YMCA After-School Program Registration Information

Registration for the YMCA After-School Program opens Monday, August 3, 2026, at 7:00 AM!

🖥️ Online Registration
Families can register online at ymcasatx.org beginning at 7:00 AM.

🏢 Need Help Registering?
If you need assistance completing your registration, in-person support will be available next week during regular business hours at the Davis-Scott YMCA or Westside Family YMCA.

💳 Payment & Fees
• All registration fees must be paid online.
• Fees are based on the City of San Antonio (COSA) sliding-scale fee schedule.

✅ Registration Steps
1. Complete the online registration at ymcasatx.org.
2. Complete the COSA form and email it, along with proof of income, to [email protected].

Please note: Both the online registration and the required documentation must be submitted for your application to be considered. Incomplete COSA forms cannot be accepted.

📄 Acceptable Proof of Income
(Must include the student’s name)
• 2025 Tax Return listing the student as a dependent
• Current Medicaid or CHIP eligibility letter showing the student’s name and a valid expiration date (expired letters or letters without an expiration date will not be accepted)
