10 AM Update: Tropical Storm Bertha is forecast to approach the Texas coast as a tropical depression by early Friday. Wind shear, dry air and land interaction could limit the storms organization as it approaches Texas late week. No impacts are expected for South Central Texas through Thursday night. Friday into the weekend, moisture from Bertha or its remnants could bring a low chance (20-30%) of showers, favoring the Coastal Plains. Please follow us and other trusted sources including hurricanes.gov through the week.

We are working in partnership with Texas Division of Emergency Management as part of the State Incident Management Team staged Freeman Coliseum. It is not open to the public at this time because crews are coordinating response efforts.

⚠️EMERGENCY VOLUNTARY & MANDATORY EVACUATIONS⚠️

UPDATE 7/15/26 @ 7:53 PM - The voluntary evacuation has been expanded to the 200-300 Block of Aviation Heights. The City website will have a map available.

The City of Schertz has issued a Disaster Declaration, signed by Mayor Ralph Rodriguez, due to severe weather and flooding from the Cibolo Creek. The National Weather Service forecasts dangerous water levels to rise along the creek between 8:00 p.m. and 2 a.m. Due to the rising waters the City of Schertz has also issued voluntary and mandatory evacuations. The mandatory evacuations are for all residents in the Pecan Grove RV Park. The voluntary evacuations are for Lone Oak, Rio Vista, Buffalo Valley South, areas along southern FM 78 and FM 1518 to Lisa Medows.
