𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼: 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

We’re thrilled to announce a beautiful new addition to our state building!

Through New Mexico’s 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗔𝗜𝗣𝗣) program, we recently installed “Memories of Cerrillos”—a stunning 44” x 44” oil-on-linen painting by local artist 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘆𝗴𝗼.

Influenced by Tonalist landscapes, Patricia built 10 to 20 delicate, filmy layers of oil paint to capture a fleeting, dreamlike memory of Galisteo Creek during a rare flood near Cerrillos, paired with a dramatic sunset skyscape from Glorieta.

Next time you are in the building, stop by to see this labor-of-love in person!

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: Established by the Art in Public Places Act of 1986, AIPP enriches public spaces across all 33 New Mexico counties by setting aside a portion of state capital outlay for public art.

Have you recently received an email offering a "pension review" or a "retirement consultation" that looks like it might be from the New Mexico Educational Retirement Board?

We’ve noticed a seasonal increase in third-party advisors contacting our members. While these firms often use names or email addresses that look nearly identical to ours, it is important to know that they are not affiliated with NM ERB.

If an email doesn’t seem right, just delete it. You can always contact us directly to verify it.
