Washington’s Primary Election was earlier this week, and it was (mostly) a really great night for women running for office across the state.
Today, we are feeling energized and excited as we turn to the general election in November. Congratulations to all our endorsed candidates who are moving forward!
A few fun facts:
💜 We endorsed 120 women and nonbinary candidates across the state, for a huge range of offices and positions
💜 94 of these candidates were on the primary ballot (others were uncontested or moved through automatically, depending on position)
💜 87% of our endorsed candidates are advancing to the general election!
Running for office, win or lose, is HARD and exhausting—and is a true act of public service. As we look ahead, we are so thankful for the candidates who stepped up to serve their communities, for the staff and volunteers who work so tirelessly, and for the voters who took the time to research candidates, issues, and vote.
