Join the manufacturing team as a Laser Operator at MWI Components , where you’ll be at the forefront of precision fabrication and metalworking. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure accurate, efficient, and safe operation of laser equipment, contributing directly to our commitment of quality products.
This role is at our East Facility in Spencer, operating Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am-4:30 pm. Climate-controlled facility!

Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise cuts on various sheet metal materials according to detailed blueprints and specifications
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication
* Program CNC laser machines using specialized software to optimize cutting paths and efficiency
* Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laser equipment to maintain optimal performance
* Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
* Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment
* Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment safely for loading raw materials and finished products
* Support help to other production lines will be required
* Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of laser equipment and work areas.

Qualifications * Minimum High school diploma or GED required * Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines or similar CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues on laser equipment * Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances * Knowledge of tooling setup, sheet metal fabrication, and quality inspection procedures * Comfortable operating a forklift * Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment * Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions Why Join MWI? * Stable and growing manufacturing company * On-the-job training provided * Supportive, team-oriented culture MWI Components is a growing manufacturer of building products serving customers across the United States.
