Mr. Schutte’s 7th grade Flex students put their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to the test with the annual Egg Drop Challenge! 🏗️

Students were tasked with designing and building a protective carrier for a raw egg while following specific guidelines and requirements. Once their creations were complete, it was time for the ultimate test — dropping them from the balcony and hoping their eggs survived the fall! 🥚💥

This hands-on challenge encouraged students to think outside the box, experiment with different designs, and learn through trial and error. Whether their eggs survived or went splat, it was a fun way to put their engineering skills into action!

🐺🎃 SPIRIT WEEK IS COMING TO AGNES STEWART! 🎃🐺

Get ready, Wolfpack! 💙💛 Our amazing Leadership Class has been hard at work planning a FUN-filled Spirit Week, October 26th–30th!

From creative dress-up days to a Spirit Week Dance on Friday, October 30th, our Leadership students have been putting their creativity and teamwork into making this a memorable week for everyone! Cost- $5 without a wolf card, $4 with a wolfcard. Tickets will be sold at lunch during spirit week (October 26-30th) or you can purchase at the door. The dance will include: open gym, photo booth, movie, and other activities. Our Leadership Class has been hard at work getting everything ready! Check out the video below of our students unboxing some of the awesome inventory to kick things off! 📦🍬🎁

Students can earn PawPrints by showing kindness, making positive choices, following directions and going above and beyond. They can then use their PawPrints to shop for fun prizes at our Student Store!

🔬🔍 Little Scientists, BIG Discoveries! 🧪

Last week, Ms. Raleigh’s 6th grade science students have been taking a closer look at the world around them during a two-day magnifying glass and microscope lab!

On day one, students used magnifying glasses to examine carbon, pencil shavings, wood cookies, and even tiny photographs! 🔎

On day two, they took their exploration to the next level with microscopes, getting an up-close look at organisms, plant matter, and more! 🌱🦠

Each day, students put their observation skills to work by carefully drawing what they discovered. What a fun, hands-on way to practice thinking and observing like real scientists!

Way to go, 6th grade Wolves! 🐺💙💛

E-bikes and e-motos (also known as pocket bikes) have become increasingly popular over the past year. With that increase in popularity, Springfield community members have also seen growing safety concerns, including bikes that are not street legal being ridden in traffic, reckless riding or not following the rules of the road, and riders who do not meet the legal age requirements for operating certain motorized bicycles.

As a reminder, scooters and Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bikes require riders to be 16 years of age or older. E-motos are for use on private property only and are not legal to ride on city streets.

We have attached a flyer with important information for students and families about the legal requirements for different types of e-bikes and e-motos. This information is also available on our district and school websites, linked below.

We are seeing some of these bikes at Agnes Stewart, and when we become aware that a student is riding a bike that is not legal to operate on the road, we are communicating directly with the student and family. Our goal is to help keep our students safe, make sure everyone understands the rules, and hopefully prevent students and families from receiving a ticket from the Springfield Police Department.
