Last Friday, the student body of THS came together to recognize Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate the impact he made in our nation during his time. Our celebration included student speakers, the University of Oregon Gospel Choir, and the head of the Oregon Department of Education, Dr. Charlene Williams. Thank you to those in our community who joined us in our celebration. AND thank you, THS students and staff, for making it a success.

In partnership with BSU, 5 Powers and ASB, we are excited to host THS’ MLK celebration with you this Friday in the main gym from 10:45-11:45!

We have special appearances from Rochelle Weiser-Nieto, Kunu Bearchum from the Native youth Wellness Program at Lane ESD, along with the UO Gospel Choir, and our amazing Keynote speaker, the director of ODE, Charlene Williams.

This event is dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr. and other influential American figures that shared the same aspirations as Dr. King.

We look forward to celebrating with you Friday!
