Thanks to the generosity of our families, we raised $279.93 in our November change drive. This money will be used to help with needs in our own school community.

Did you know that our Parent Group has a BottleDrop Blue Bag account? Just fill a bag with bottles and cans, and drop it off and Thurston gets credited the money to help with field trips, assemblies, PE equipment, musical instruments, and library books. Turn bags in now through Dec. 2nd for an additional 20% credit.

Ruby Bridges walk to school day November 14:
In remembrance of Ruby Bridges' courage in the face of discrimination, there is an annual walk to school. Buses will drop students at Berean Assembly (on Main Street) at 8:15, and others can join as we walk to school together that morning. Please consider joining us for this remembrance.

I just heard some figures for PTG fundraising last month.... The Read-a-thon brought in $5961 and the Papa's Pizza Dinners Out netted $1094.65! Thank you for supporting our school!!!

Thank you so much to everyone that was able to donate socks for our Socktober! We collected 324 pairs of socks for our local community.

Thanks to the generous support of the TES community, Mrs. Federico and her class were able to present a check for $910.00 to the American Red Cross at today's Cheetah Club. This is earmarked to help with hurricane relief. Our whole 4th grade made this happen - kudos to them, and our giving community!

This Monday, November 11, there is no school for all students in observance of Veterans Day. The District office will also be closed.

On Veterans Day, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of all those that have served in the U.S. military to defend our nation.

***Please be aware that we DO have school at the elementary level on Friday, November 8th.***
