Eastern Monroe Public Library is proud to be part of NEPA Gives 2026 ,a powerful 24-hour community-wide day of giving that helps local nonprofits continue making a difference throughout our region.

🎯 Our goal is to raise at least $2,500 to support library services, programs, and outreach throughout Monroe County!

Your support helps the library provide:
📖 Books, eBooks, and lifelong learning resources
💻 Public computers, Wi-Fi, and technology access
🎨 Educational programs for children, teens, and adults
🚐 Outreach services through our Bookmobile
🏛️ Safe, welcoming spaces that bring our community together

In observance of Memorial Day, all branches of Eastern Monroe Public Library, including the Library of the Smithfields and Bookmobile Services, are closed today, Sunday, May 24th, and will remain closed Monday, May 25th.

We remember and honor those who served. Libraries help keep their stories alive through books, history, and shared knowledge for our community.

Normal hours and services will resume Tuesday, May 26th. You can still visit www.monroepl.org to access digital resources like Hoopla, Libby, Brainfuse, US Dailies, and more - available anytime.

Ask An Advocate: Q&A on Interpersonal Violence

Safe Monroe staff will discuss the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence. Learn how to respond if someone confides in you, common red flags in unhealthy relationships, legal options for those who are unsafe, victims’ rights, and community resources.

There will be time for questions and comments. Walk-in, no registration required.
