This week, our office provided all Leon County taxing authorities with the 2026 preliminary taxable value estimates. These figures serve as an important planning tool, helping the county, the city, and other local taxing bodies develop their upcoming budgets and consider potential tax rates.

Once each taxing authority establishes its budget and proposed millage rates, the Leon County Property Appraiser’s Office will send every property owner a Notice of Proposed Taxes in August.

The Leon County Property Appraiser’s Office proudly supports Leon County Government Emergency Operations through our trained Initial Disaster Assessment (IDA) Teams. Following major storms, our staff help assess and report damage so critical recovery resources can be deployed quickly throughout the community.
