Stephens County Recreation Department is dedicated to provide a quality park system and leisure activities for all residents of the county. The Recreation Department staff work hard to provide opportunities for local children, youth, adults and visitors to improve their physical and mental well-being through programs and services that enhance quality of life. The department also promotes education

al and emotional growth to improve the social, cultural and moral well-being of families and the communities it serves. The ongoing goal of the department is to provide safe, clean and functional parks and recreation facilities, and to assist in the planning and development of new and improved facilities to meet the continued growth within the county. The department offers and manages a number of special events including the annual Easter egg hunt, an antique and classic car cruise-in and entertainment at the Harvest Festival, the annual WNEG Home and Garden Show, softball and basketball tournaments, disc golf tournaments, Senior Expo, Rose Lane Fireworks.

To sign up, just visit a class and speak to an instructor. Beginner kids class (ages 6-12) is on Thursday evenings 5:30-6:15 PM at the rec department. $40 per month. Availability is very limited. See you soon!
