It's a new chapter for us! We're launching our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and a roadmap for how we will work alongside residents, partners and community leaders to help build stronger neighborhoods and expand opportunity across Toledo.

Over the next five years, we plan to invest at least $15 million through a strategy focused on expanding access to housing, strengthening local economies and bolstering community-based partners.

We invite our partners, neighbors and friends to join us on Tuesday for an open house at our new office, meet the team, learn more about the plan and talk with us about what comes next.

Community safety is about more than responding to crime, it’s about creating neighborhoods where people have the opportunity, stability and connections they need to thrive.

In a new letter to the editor published by The Blade, LISC Toledo Executive Director Tom Kroma shares how investments in affordable housing, local businesses, public spaces and strong neighborhood organizations can help create safer, stronger communities.

Here in Toledo, we’ve seen the impact of that approach firsthand. In the Garfield neighborhood, years of coordinated investment and partnership have helped increase homeownership, strengthen housing stability, and create new momentum for the community.
