Some Fair gems are hiding in plain sight. Our next Must-See Gem turns the fairgrounds into a playful search-and-find adventure for all ages.

In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, we’re hiding 250 rubber ducks across the Kansas State Fairgrounds for fairgoers to discover. Some ducks will include a special nametag with a fun prize or snack for the lucky person who finds it.

Find a duck? You can take it home as a souvenir from your Fair day or hide it again for another fairgoer to find. Keep your eyes open — your next favorite Fair memory might be waiting around the corner.

The Kansas Highway Patrol was proud to partner with Roca Fuerte Church for a Back-to-School event that brought together people from many different backgrounds, all united by one purpose: supporting our children.

Through collaboration, community, and generosity, families received valuable resources to help students start the new school year prepared and confident.

Congratulations to summer interns Emily Matthias from Emporia State University and Maddie Murray from University of Minnesota Crookston for completing the KHP internship program. Both young ladies attended the KHP Collegiate Law Enforcement Academy prior to their internships and are pursuing future careers in law enforcement fields.

This Follow Friday we’re heightening the awareness to a FREE preparedness program the KHP provides statewide.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is committed to helping schools, businesses, and many other organizations prepare for the unthinkable through our Kansas Active Shooter Mitigation (KASM) program. Led by Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers, this training provides practical information on violent intruder awareness, response considerations, and strategies to help mitigate potential threats before they occur.

Best of all, this program is offered at no cost to organizations across Kansas.

What we need:
➡️ Two hour training block
➡️ 15 people in attendance
