Congratulations to our newest firefighters!

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of Academy Class 26-01. After weeks of relentless training, long days, and pushing past limits, these recruits have earned the title of firefighter.

This milestone represents more than a graduation. It marks the beginning of a career built on service, sacrifice, and commitment to care. Now, they carry our mission forward, ready to save lives, protect property, and care for our community.

Please join us in wishing them the best!

Each plaque on this wall represents a life saved.

In the fire service, we call these “code saves.” Put simply, a code save occurs when a person in cardiac arrest is successfully resuscitated and goes on to survive with a good neurological outcome.

The walls of our training center are lined with these plaques as a reminder of the impact we can make, both as individuals and as a community working together to save lives. From the person who called 911, to the bystander who stepped in to perform CPR, to the paramedics and EMTs who responded, every code save represents a chain of care.

This wall isn’t just ours. It belongs to our community, too.

As EMS Week comes to a close, we’re honored to share what these plaques represent and who they represent. We’re proud of the work we do and proud to share it with the community that makes it possible!
