Downtown Links Update:
Beginning Monday, June 15 crews will begin construction of the median island at Church Avenue and Franklin Street.
During this work, eastbound travel on Church Avenue from 6th Street will be closed, as there is not sufficient space between the edge of the new median and the edge of the north curb to safely maintain both directions of travel, and allow crews to work safely. Westbound travel will remain open. This traffic control will be in place 24/7 and is scheduled to be in place through early July.
This work is scheduled to be completed concurrently with the ongoing water utility improvements, which currently have the entire intersection of Church Avenue and Franklin Street closed. Once both projects are finished, the roadway will be in its permanent configuration. 🎉
Also beginning Monday, the new traffic signal at Church Avenue and 6th Street will be activated.

Beginning Monday, June 15, the west side of the intersection at Park Avenue and Silverlake Road will be closed for approximately one day to allow for removal of the waterline. During this time, eastbound and westbound travel will be unable to cross the intersection. However, westbound travel on Silverlake Road will be able to make a right turn onto northbound Park Avenue. Currently, southbound Park Avenue is closed to travel from 22nd Street to 36th Street. This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public and crews working in the area.

This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen circumstances. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel if traveling in the area.

The westbound curb lane will be restricted from 7th Ave to just west of Main Ave. This restriction will only be in place during the work hours.
