Chronic absenteeism isn’t just about missed school days…it’s often a sign that students and families are facing challenges beyond the classroom.

That’s why innovative programs like ECHO are making a real difference. By helping remove barriers, ECHO connects students and families with the support they need to succeed.

The results speak for themselves: in its first year at Nash Elementary, the program reduced chronic absenteeism by 10%. Now, it’s expanding its impact and showing how a community-wide approach can help more students stay engaged, attend school, and thrive.

Every day in school matters, and together we can help ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Pima CommunityShare Spotlight!

📚✨ Last Spring, second- and third-grade students at Gallego Elementary became published authors and illustrators!

Inspired by the colorful world of alebrijes and the animals of the Sonoran Desert, students researched native wildlife, created beautiful watercolor illustrations, and wrote original stories blending facts with imagination.

Thanks to a partnership through Pima CommunityShare, students visited West Press, toured the printing facility, met the graphic designer who brought their work to life, and received professionally printed copies of their very own book.

Experiences like this show the power of connecting classrooms with local businesses to create unforgettable, real-world learning opportunities. Thank you to West Press for being a phenomenal partner and bringing learning to life for these students!

Your students can experience that this school year! Learn how you can become a Pima CommunityShare educator or community partner today! Connect with our director, Amy Morales Baum: [email protected]!
