That’s right! While our pups will be busy sniffing, wagging, and enjoying some dog-friendly fun, we’re inviting the whole community to come out and enjoy everything the newly improved Armory Park has to offer!

Now Hiring: General Maintenance Worker (NON-PERMANENT)

Love working outdoors? Join Tucson Parks and Recreation and help keep our parks clean, safe, and beautiful!

In this role, you'll maintain parks and sports fields, clean facilities, assist with landscaping, repair park amenities, and help set up for community events.

-Seasonal/intermittent position (up to 1,300 hours/year)
-Up to 24 hours per week
-Shifts between 5:00 a.m.–10:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays
-Some high school education
-Less than 1 year of related experience
-Valid Arizona Class D Driver License

Phone screenings will take place August 11–13 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. (Arizona time). Calls are not scheduled in advance, so be ready to answer!

Help nourish Tucson's older adults through the Senior Nutrition Program! We're looking for a Kitchen Manager to oversee daily meal service while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

In this role, you'll coordinate meal service, maintain food safety and compliance records, work with caterers and volunteers, and create a welcoming environment for program participants.

-6 months post-high school education
-1 year of related experience
-Valid Arizona Class D Driver License

Catalina Pool Update: August 3, 2026

Great news! Catalina Pool will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4, and resume its regular operating schedule.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while our team completed the necessary cleaning and water balancing to ensure the pool was safe for everyone.

Our Yappy-Hour event that was happening tonight has been rescheduled but, we’ve got some paw-sitive news! 🐾

The Armory Park Dog Park is officially OPEN TODAY, so don’t wait to unleash the fun! Come sniff out Tucson’s newest dog park and let the zoomies begin. 🦴

As much as we love a good paw-ty, it’s just too doggone hot for our furry friends. To keep every pup safe and comfortable, we’re moving Yappy Hour to a cooler morning.

New Date: Saturday, August 8
Time: 9 a.m.

We’ll still have ice cream treats from BARK 'N BERRY, doggy mocktails, photo ops, tail wags, and plenty of fur-iends to meet!

Thanks for rolling over with the change, we can’t wait to celebrate with you next Saturday!

Help build and maintain the parks our community loves! Tucson Parks and Recreation is looking for a skilled Trade Specialist to install, repair, and maintain playgrounds, ball fields, picnic areas, sidewalks, fencing, and other park amenities.

In this role, you'll operate construction equipment, complete repairs, interpret blueprints, and help keep our parks safe, functional, and welcoming for everyone.

-High school diploma or equivalent
-2 years of relevant experience
-Valid Arizona Class D Driver License
