The City of Tucson Housing and Community Development (HCD) Department recently recognized property owners and managers for their partnership in the Housing Choice Voucher program (HCV), honoring the critical role they play in providing stable housing for thousands of Tucson residents.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program, commonly known as Section 8, is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and administered locally by the City of Tucson's HCD Department. The program currently supports approximately 5,200 households across Tucson and Pima County through partnerships with roughly 1,250 landlords and property managers.

“Every housing provider participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program has chosen to be part of a solution. You have chosen to create opportunity and to expand access to housing,” Miranda Schubert for Ward 6 said. “You have chosen to help families achieve stability.”
