Tybee Island Ocean Rescue TIFR Ocean Rescue is on the beach May-October each year, only during daylight hours. Please call 911 in any emergency!

🟨 Lifeguards will be flying YELLOW flags today. Medium Hazard. Rip currents possible. Please use caution and always swim near a lifeguard.

🟨 Lifeguards will be flying YELLOW flags today. Medium Hazard. Rip currents possible. Please use caution and always swim near a lifeguard.

⚡️ If lightning is detected, lifeguards will clear the water. Beach operations will remain suspended until 30 minutes have passed since the last lightning strike within 12 miles. Your safety is our priority, so please follow all lifeguard instructions to help keep everyone safe.

Lifeguards are currently clearing the water for lightning detected within 12 miles, in accordance with our safety protocols.

⚠️ It is not safe to swim at this time. Please stay out of the water for your safety and the safety of our lifeguards.

Lifeguards will remain off the beach until 30 minutes have passed since the last lightning strike is detected within 12 miles.

We also recommend downloading a lightning tracker app to help monitor conditions and stay safe, especially when lifeguards are not stationed in your area.
