🚧 VCPS Construction Progress Report – September 2, 2026 🚧

Public Use of Hanna Field

We've also included the rules and guidelines for the public use of Hanna Field. This is an awesome shared school and community resource, and we want to make sure it can continue to be available for students, activities, and public uses. Please know that public access is permitted when the facility is open and not reserved for school programs. The gate behind the bleachers in the Hanna Field parking lot will remain open for public access until the snow is the on the ground. If you have any questions about public use at Hanna Field, please contact our district offices.

Construction continues to move forward on our new school! Check out our latest Construction Progress Report for an update on the work happening on site.

Hanna Field is OPEN!
As a reminder, Hanna Field, including Dacotah Bank Track and the new turf field, is now reopened for public and community use. The gate behind the bleachers will be open daily from sunrise to sunset. Additional information regarding guidelines and expectations for use will be shared soon.

We hope our community enjoys these spaces as much as our students and staff do!

A BIG THANK YOU TO ANDERSON FARMS! 🌽

Valley City Public Schools would like to send a special thank you to Anderson Farms and School Board Member Darin Anderson for generously donating fresh corn on the cob for our students to enjoy with lunch!

We are so grateful for the generosity and support of our local community. The corn was a wonderful treat for our students!

🏈 Celebrating 90 Years of Hanna Field! 💙🤍

There’s nothing quite like a Friday night at Hanna Field — the leaves beginning to change, trains crossing the Hi-Line Bridge, and Hi-Liner football under the lights!

This year marks 90 years of Hanna Field, with a history dating back to 1936. Check out the attached poster for a look at some of the major milestones from 1936–2026.

🎉 Join us Friday, August 21, for another exciting milestone — the ribbon-cutting for our new field turf, sponsored by Essentia Health!

The ribbon-cutting will take place approximately 20 minutes before the 7:00 PM kickoff, followed by a great night of Hi-Liner football!

🏈 Booster Club tailgating before the game
🎁 Free kids’ swag from Essentia Health and Construction Engineers
🎆 15-minute fireworks show immediately following the game

Come enjoy food, fun, football, and fireworks as we celebrate Hanna Field and kick off the 2026 Hi-Liner Football season!
