We are sad to share that this past week was our last with our Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) member, Annie. Over the past year, Annie has supported the McKenna Center as our Food Pantry Coordinator. In this role she was responsible for daily guest processing, directing food pantry volunteers, coordinating restocks, and ensuring that the food pantry remains a welcoming, high-quality experience for our clients.
During her time with us Annie has become an integral part of our staff and a familiar, friendly face to volunteers and clients alike. Whether greeting guests at the front desk or unloading a pantry delivery, she has brought joy and experience to our daily operations.
On behalf of the entire Father McKenna Center, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for Annie’s tireless work, passion, and spirit of service. Under her leadership, the food pantry has served thousands of clients, distributed over 100,000 pounds of food, and grown as a program. We are blessed to have had her as part of the McKenna Center family.
Please join us in wishing Annie the very best of luck as she pursues medical school this coming fall. We are grateful for all she has done, and we hope to see her again in the future!
