📣 U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum 2025:
Advancing Bilateral Economic Cooperation to a New Level

The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in partnership with the Atlantic Council and within the framework of Ukrainian Week 2025, hosted the U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum – a bilateral summit of business, governmental and regional leaders, as well as top representatives of international financial institutions and industry experts. The Forum was held on 5 February 2025 in Washington, D.C.

📌 At this pivotal time, the Forum reinforced the central role of USUBC as a unifying force for leading U.S. companies interested in Ukraine and leading Ukrainian companies striving to work with U.S. partners. The Forum served as a platform to advance investment plans, partnerships and business deals. As one example, USUBC member Hill International signed an MOU with Serhii Sukhomlyn, Head of the Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine (Державне агентство відновлення та розвитку інфраструктури України)

💬 Irina Paliashvili, USUBC President & CEO said: “The Forum turned out to be a major success – it was the right time and the right place to hold this business gathering in Washington, D.C. Our three Forum panels – focusing on rebuilding Ukraine through regional development and spotlighting key sectors: infrastructure, energy, critical raw materials (CRM), agriculture, IT and defense – led to the clear conclusion that Ukraine presents a tremendous opportunity to the U.S. and, in many ways, can serve as a strategic partner in the increasing worldwide competition for these key sectors."

💬 Lieutenant General Кирило Буданов / Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (Головне управління розвідки Міністерства оборони України), who participated virtually, emphasized that “one of the reasons for Russian aggression is its intention to seize Ukraine’s natural resources and defense industrial complex for future use against Western countries. Ukraine is an opportunity for the United States to restore and assert its military power. Now is the best time to strengthen cooperation between our countries.”

The Forum featured an illustrious roster of prominent speakers. We extend our gratitude to the panel moderators for their masterful guidance during the panel discussions: Vlad Skots (CEO of USKO Express Inc. and Co-Chair of Ukrainian American House), Lev Holubec (Partner, PwC Ukraine) and Dana Linnet (CEO, The Summit Group DC).

A highlight of the Forum was the participation of prominent American businessman and philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen, founder of Wasatch Group and Hansen Ukrainian Mission, who donated $130 million to rebuild communities in Ukraine that serve as a catalyst for the development of local infrastructure and economies.

We are deeply grateful to Forum’s Premium Partners for their generous support: USKO Express, SPP Development Ukraine Group of Companies, BGV Group Management and Ukrainian American House in Sacramento. A special thank you to Spyrt Worldwide, First Private Brewery and Zirkova Horilka, whose contributions of excellent Ukrainian beverages enhanced the networking experience at the Forum.

USUBC extends its gratitude to Ukrainian Week for entrusting us with organizing the Forum, and to the Atlantic Council for generously hosting us.

💬 John Herbst, Senior Director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, said: "We were delighted to host the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council’s Forum for a five-star event involving thought leaders discussing Ukrainian prospects for victory, and turbocharged development after victory."

👏 U.S.-Ukraine Business Council Welcomes Superhumans as a New Member

Superhumans Center is Ukraine’s nationwide hub for war-trauma care, specializing in prosthetics, rehabilitation, reconstructive surgery, hearing restoration, and psychological support for those affected by war. Open to both military personnel and civilians (adults and children), the center offers its services entirely free of charge. The first Superhumans Center was launched near Lviv in April 2023. By the end of 2025, additional centers will be launched in Dnipro and Odesa.

Superhumans is not a government institution. It was founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Andrey Stavnitser, with Philipp Grushko and Olga Rudnieva as co-founders. The center collaborates closely with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health, working to build a unified ecosystem for war-trauma care, encompassing everything from prosthetics and physical rehabilitation to reconstructive facial surgery and hearing restoration.

Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, serves on the Superhumans Supervisory Board, reflecting the national importance of its mission.

💬 Stavnitser Andrey, the founder of Superhumans, commented: "We are honored to join the esteemed community of USUBC. In Ukraine, more than 50,000 people have sustained war-related injuries, and over a third of our territory is heavily mined. For our project, rapid development is a matter of life and death, and in just two years, we have become the largest military trauma center in the country, fitting over 1,000 prosthetics and performing more than 500 surgeries. Much of what we have accomplished during this time would not have been possible without the support of the United States. However, there is still an enormous amount of work ahead of us.
We are confident that our collaboration with USUBC will help restore hundreds, if not thousands, of Ukrainians to active and fulfilling lives."

📌 A Model for Sustainable Impact
The center operates through the generous support of donors and continuous fundraising initiatives. In 2025, Superhumans plans to expand its mission further by launching a franchise model, ensuring greater accessibility to its life-changing services.

📌 Unparalleled Achievements in Just 1.5 Years
In just over a year and a half, Superhumans Center has:
🔹 Produced over 1,000 prosthetics for more than 800 individuals, restoring mobility and independence.
🔹 Conducted over 500 complex reconstructive surgeries, transforming lives through advanced facial and limb restoration techniques.

📌 A Vision for the Future
Superhumans is dedicated to providing innovative, free care to those who need it most, ensuring that survivors of war trauma receive not only physical restoration but also the dignity and hope they deserve.

Superhumans is setting a global standard for war-trauma care and social impact through partnerships, cutting-edge medical advancements, and a relentless commitment to Ukraine’s recovery.

💬 Irina Paliashvili, President and CEO of USUBC, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “We are thrilled to welcome Superhumans to USUBC. This is one of the best examples of successful cooperation between the U.S. and Ukrainian private sector that promptly demonstrated tremendous results in providing cutting-edge rehabilitation services.
