Our America in Bloom advisors may have come to tour our community, but what they experienced was so much more, they experienced the heart of Washington.

A heartfelt thank you to every business, organization, volunteer, city employee, historian, and resident who welcomed our advisors, shared your stories, opened your doors, and showcased your passion for our community. We didn’t capture photos with everyone, but please know your contribution made a lasting impact.

Hosting our America in Bloom judges has been an incredible experience, and one thing has become abundantly clear… Washington is leaving a lasting impression. 💚

From our vibrant downtown, beautiful parks, public art, and colorful landscapes to the volunteers, businesses, and residents who make this community shine, our judges have been truly blown away by what they’ve seen.

Every stop has been filled with great conversations, fresh ideas, and countless reminders that Washington’s greatest asset isn’t just how beautiful it is, it’s the people who make it bloom.

Thank you to everyone who has helped showcase the very best of our community. One more day to go, and we can’t wait to keep sharing Washington’s story! 🌸✨

This year’s Blooming Business Planters are just the beginning… and we’re already excited for next season! 🌼

If you’ve noticed the beautiful coordinated planters around downtown, you’ve seen our vision in action. Imagine that same vibrant splash of color welcoming visitors all along our business corridors! 🌿✨

These aren’t just any flower pots, they’re custom-designed self-wicking planters created specifically for Washington businesses. We take the guesswork out of it by selecting beautiful, easy-care plant combinations, making it simple to keep your business looking its best all season long.

🌸✨ Washington… it’s our time to shine! ✨🌸

This Wednesday through Friday, we’re thrilled to welcome America in Bloom advisors Douglas Airhart and Ed Ho**er to Washington!

America in Bloom is a national nonprofit that helps communities grow and thrive by celebrating beautification, environmental stewardship, heritage preservation, community vitality, urban forestry, and the pride that makes a town truly special. It’s about so much more than flowers, it’s about showcasing the heart of a community.

And if there’s one thing we know… Washington has a whole lot of heart. ❤️

Over the next few days, our advisors will be exploring our parks, downtown, neighborhoods, public art, businesses, and meeting the incredible people who make this community bloom.

🌿 If you’ve been thinking, “I really should mow the yard… pull a few weeds… sweep the sidewalk… plant those flowers…” consider this your sign! 😄 This is the perfect week to add a little extra sparkle to your corner of Washington. Just remember to stay hydrated, take breaks, and be safe in the summer heat! ☀️💧

The flowers are showing off, the riverfront trail is gorgeous, and the morning couldn’t be more perfect. Go take that walk, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy a little peace before the rain arrives.
