Vision: A Great Start to ensure ALL children in Oakland County are safe, healthy, prepared, and eager to succeed in school and in life. Mission: The purpose of the GSC-O is to assure a coordinated system of community resources and support whereby ALL Oakland County families have knowledge of and access to the services they need which will result in their children being prepared and eager to learn.

About Great Start Collaborative-Oakland (GSC-O): Great Start Collaborative-Oakland began in Winter 2006 when Oakland Schools received a $70,000 capacity building grant from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC) to prepare to develop a comprehensive early childhood system for the county. The Great Start Collaborative-Oakland (GSC-O) is committed to ensuring that all of Oakland County's youngest citizens and their families have access to services. Great Start Collaborative-Oakland (GSC-O) is a partnership of local stakeholders and parents building a comprehensive early childhood system for our community, looking at all the factors that influence a child's readiness for school and life, including:

-Early care and education
-Physical and mental health
-Family support and parent education

These materials were developed under a grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education.

Clinton County RESA's Office of Innovative Projects is looking for candidates to join our team as an Early Learning Partnership Specialist! Funded through Section 32p of the State School Aid Act, this role provides technical assistance to Michigan's 56 intermediate school districts as they implement local Early Learning Partnerships.

📢 We're hiring! Join our GSRP team at Oakland Schools!

Are you passionate about supporting young children, families, and early childhood educators? We are looking for a Learning Specialist to provide Mental Health and Exceptional Learning Services consultation in GSRP classrooms across Oakland County.

In this part-time role, you'll work alongside teachers and families to help young children thrive by supporting social-emotional development, promoting inclusive practices, and connecting families with the resources they need.

If you have experience in early childhood, special education, social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field, we would love to hear from you!
