Today we remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in sacrifice to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

Memorial Day is also a reminder of the importance of community—of caring for one another and ensuring every person has the opportunity to live with dignity, support, and hope.

As we reflect today, we hold space for remembrance, gratitude, and the families who carry these legacies forward.

🌍 Caring for our planet means caring for each other.

This Earth Day, we recognize that environmental health and community health are deeply connected. Access to clean air, nutritious food, and reliable transportation are all part of a more just and sustainable future.

Together, we can build a community that supports both people and the planet.

Freedom is not just a moment in history—it’s an ongoing commitment.

On Emancipation Day, we honor the resilience of those who fought for liberation and reflect on the work that continues today. True freedom is rooted in dignity, equity, and opportunity for all.

As a community, we move forward by uplifting one another, removing barriers, and ensuring every person has access to the resources they need to thrive.

Tomorrow, March 31st, many of our offices will be closed.

We often use this time to reflect on the legacy of Cesar Chavez, farmworkers, and the fight, progress, and accomplishments of the many labor leaders and civil rights activists who have worked for years to advance dignity and respect for workers.

We understand that this year, this moment may feel very different. The accusations made against Cesar Chavez are jarring and disheartening, and they should be taken seriously. When survivors of abuse come forward and share their experiences, we must listen to them, believe them, and honor their courage with support and respect.

Though we observe this time with mixed emotions, we also recognize that the movement for workers’ rights has never belonged to one person. It has always been shaped by thousands of individuals—many of them women, immigrants, and people of color—whose leadership and contributions have too often gone unrecognized. Their organizing, advocacy, and persistence have been essential in moving this work forward.

That legacy lives on today through the ongoing efforts of people who continue to organize, speak out, and demand justice in their communities.

The fight for worker justice, dignity, and civil rights will continue—as it always has—driven by the collective power of people.
