The United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties started as the Wooster Community Chest from 1940 to 1957. In 1957, the Community Chest was replaced by the Wooster United Fund, governed by an 18-member Board of Trustees elected from the general public. In 1974, the Wooster United Fund changed its name to United Way of Wooster, Inc. to better

align itself with the national movement of local United Ways. In 2002, United Way of Wooster changed its name to United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties in an effort to better identify the communities served by the agency.

Every month, more than 6,000 children across Wayne and Holmes Counties open their mailbox to find a book waiting just for them. Those smiles, bedtime stories, and early learning moments are possible because neighbors like you invest in local children.

Ashley & her son Clayden volunteered this morning at Christ’s Cupboard at Killbuck Methodist Church and we are so grateful for all of the incredible people who give their time and heart to help their neighbors.

A special thank you to Lisa Kauffman, Abbie Allison, Pastor Ken, and everyone who makes this possible.

🛒 Shopping:
• 2nd Tuesday of each month | 6-8 PM
• Last Saturday of each month | 10 AM-Noon
