The Consumer Affairs Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs delivered an informative presentation to students and staff of the Bequia Seventh-Day Adventist Secondary School on Friday, 29 May 2026, as part of the Ministry’s ongoing School Visit Programme.

The session formed part of the department’s continued commitment to public education and outreach, aimed at increasing awareness among young people on consumer rights, responsibilities, and best practices for making informed decisions in today’s marketplace.

On Monday, May 11, 2026, the Consumer Affairs Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs delivered a presentation to the students of the Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia and Mountain View Adventist Academy.

A total of 54 students participated in the session, which was held at the Ministry’s Conference Room. 🏫🗣️

On March 10, 2026, the Consumer Affairs Department within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs broadcasted its Talk Yuh Talk radio programme on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). As part of its outreach, the Department hosted an engaging quiz contest focused on consumer rights, which formed part of the week’s activities in observance of Consumer Rights Day. The contest ran from March 9 to March 13 and encouraged public participation and awareness.

The five winners of the competition are:

As activities for World Consumer Rights Week get underway under the theme “Safe Products, Confident Consumers,” the Department of Consumer Affairs, within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, opened the observance with a church service on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Kingstown Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The service created space for reflection and collective focus, setting the tone for the week’s programme while reaffirming the Department’s commitment to advancing consumer safety and building public confidence.
