Yesterday, we held our inaugural ‘Cuppa for Community’ morning tea to raise funds for Can Assist Griffith & Can Assist Leeton.

A big thank you to all the suppliers and local businesses who kindly donated money or items towards our raffle. We appreciate your generosity and support.

A special thanks to the members from CanAssist Griffith & Leeton who joined us on the day, as well as our team members for their generous donations and delicious creations.

In total, we raised $10,000, which was split evenly between the two Can Assist branches and will go towards supporting people in need, in our local communities.

We caught up with Shareholder-elected Director Grant Delves to hear his perspective on MI, both as a customer and now as part of the Board.

Grant reflects on the significant transformation we have seen over the past 10 to 15 years, particularly the modernisation of our system.

Since joining the Board, Grant has gained a valuable behind-the-scenes understanding of the work, coordination and compliance required to keep everything running efficiently for our farmers.

The cooler months provide an important window each year to carry out essential maintenance and upgrades across the water delivery network.

Over the coming months, works will be coordinated with WaterNSW maintenance at Gogelderie Weir (9 June - 1 July) and Berembed Weir (2 July - 26 July). Aligning these activities helps reduce the number of shutdowns needed and minimises the overall time customers are without water.

While every effort is made to limit impacts, some temporary water shutdowns will be unavoidable. Completing these works during winter also helps reduce the risk of supply interruptions during the busier warmer months.

If works are planned in your area, you’ll receive an SMS ahead of time with specific shutdown details, as well as a notification when water supply is restored.
