The Bush Fire Danger Period across the Mid-Western Regional Council LGA ended at midnight last night.

While landholders no longer require a fire permit, you are still required to notify the and your neighbours at least 24 hours before lighting a fire. To notify the RFS, please complete the online form available on our website: www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify

Please note that in some areas, you may still need an environmental permit from your local council or permit from Fire and Rescue NSW. You must also be aware of restrictions on the size and materials permitted in burn piles.

BCC Active and Community Members

Dear Neighbours,

We invite you to join us for the Erudgere Grattai Rural Fire Service (EGRFS) Annual General Meeting.

This is a great opportunity to:
• Learn about our recent fire season and the vital role our local crews played in protecting our community.
• Discover what it means for our shed to be designated a 'Neighbourhood Safe Place' and understand the facilities available in an emergency.
• Check out the new kitchen (successful grant application) and bathroom update - installed and renovated by our local community.
• Explore the possibility of joining your local RFS and see firsthand what's involved in being a member – we need more boots on the ground, and non-active support crew.

As a community member, you’re welcome to attend as an observer (non-voting).

Following the meeting, we'll host a BBQ where you can connect with your neighbours and EGRFS members.

Location: EGRFS Shed, Hill End Road & Old Grattai Road
BBQ: Gold coin donation
