THE WEATHER WAS COLD… THE CONNECTION WASN’T! ❤️

🌧️❄️ It was a bleak, cold and wet morning in Blayney — but that didn't stop volunteers from getting together, firing up the BBQ and enjoying a great breakfast and even better company!

This morning four members from Team Towac, traveled to NSW RFS - Blayney Brigade to deliver the August edition of the Tongs Not Thongs (TNT) Mental-Fitness BBQ Breakfast Outreach Program.

Around the BBQ, some 24+ volunteers from NSW RFS - Blayney Brigade, Lyndhurst Rural Fire Brigade, Barry Hobby's Yard RFB, Kings Plains RFB, NSW RFS - Millthorpe Fire Brigade and NSW Rural Fire Service Canobolas Zone, took the opportunity to meet, catch up, share insights and strengthen the connections that matter.

🔥 Because TNT isn't really about the BBQ.

It's about creating a space where volunteers can come together outside the pressure of the fire-ground.

It's about checking in with each other.

It's about building friendships (networks) and trust.

Strong brigades aren't built only during emergencies.

They're built between the call-outs — through relationships, trust, connection and a genuine sense of belonging.

A huge thank you to S.DC Jason and his team at NSW RFS - Blayney Brigade for sharing their amazing facility this morning and providing such a fantastic, welcoming environment. 👏

To everyone who braved the weather and joined us — thank you for making TNT what it is.

OBSERVATION | 🌅 A QUIET START TO THE DAY 🚒

There’s something special about an early morning at Towac Rural Fire Brigade

After overnight rain, the wet concrete catches the first light of the morning, creating beautiful reflections across the station apron. 💧✨

The shed is quiet, the countryside is waking up, and for a moment there’s a peaceful stillness around the brigade.

Then again… you never know who might turn up! 🦘👀

A beautiful reminder that our brigade is not only a place of service and community — it’s also part of the landscape we’re here to protect.

We had some early-morning visitors drop by the Towac Rural Fire Brigade shed today… and they certainly weren’t here for a cuppa! ☕️😂

👀 Can you spot them?

There are two _______ quietly checking out the brigade grounds.

Perhaps they were doing a little early-morning reconnaissance before heading back into the bush! 🌿🦘

It’s one of the great things about being part of Team Towac — sometimes you never know who (or what!) might turn up at the shed.

📢 NEWS | Return and Earn Program 👩‍🚒🧑‍🚒♻️

Towac Rural Fire Brigade took delivery of our bright yellow Return & Earn recycling bin today and guess what - it's already full and ready for our Triple T's to process on Tuesday.

If any community members and/or brigade members wish to drop off their recycling cans, cartons and bottles to the brigade - processing will occur Tuesday mornings.
