The latest snippet from Elsie, in the life of a exchange student student in France 🇫🇷

Hi Berny
I hope you, Ian and the club are all doing well! My exchange is going really well so far. It was recently school holidays here and I went with my host family to La Bresse a little ski town in the mountains. There I went skiing and snowboarding for the first time ever! After school went back I went to my district’s In and Out Day where the outbound as found out their country. I also had my district’s soirée exotique recently where all the students cooked a dish from their country and gave a performance. I made Vegemite scrolls and did the Nutbush with the other Aussies. I also spent a weekend at the coast between Boulonge Sur Mer and Calais. There I saw the English Channel and even the English coastline. Spring is starting to arrive here and I’ve got lots of other exciting things coming up, including Eurotour!

You always put up your hand to take on many tasks, spending many hours picking up ‘containers for change’ and catching up with friends who kindly donate their empties to our club. You are genuine and kind and your ability to talk to anybody anytime has certainly helped our fund raising. You promote Rotary and our club with passion at every opportunity and live and breath Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self’.
