Here's a number that might surprise you: 🇨🇭 directs 63% of all its venture capital to deep tech.
From AI and robotics to biotech and quantum computing, some of the most consequential technology companies of the next decade are being built in Switzerland today.
According to the 2026 Deep Tech Nation Switzerland report, that's the highest share of any country in the world, ahead of China at 56% and the United States at 54%.
At $1,470 invested per capita, Switzerland ranks among the top three nations globally for deep tech investment. Deep tech funding has grown fivefold in ten years, reaching a record $2.6 billion in 2025.
ETH Zurich and EPFL produce more new venture-backed spinouts than any university in Europe. Meanwhile, 88% of funding for large Swiss deep tech rounds comes from abroad with US investors supplying more than half of late-stage capital.

Where vineyards meet whispers of the past… welcome to La Neuveville! 🇨🇭
Located in the canton of Bern, it sits on the shores of Lake Biel at the foot of the Chasseral mountain. 🌊
Its medieval past still lives on in its cobbled streets, where multi-coloured houses reveal charming details on their façades. A stream through the old town can be spotted, along with two historic towers that once marked its entrance and exit. 🏰
