We're incredibly grateful to the CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation for investing in families through its 2026 Community Grants program.

This funding will support important bathroom renovations at Journey House, helping improve the safety, comfort and functionality of several affordable housing units for families experiencing housing vulnerability.

Every family deserves a home that is safe, dignified and welcoming. Thanks to the generosity of CREBNow, we can continue strengthening the spaces families rely on while ensuring Journey House remains a stable and supportive community for years to come.

Thank you for believing in our mission. We are committed to putting this $40,000 investment to work in ways that create lasting impact for the families we serve.

On World Homeless Day and World Mental Health Day, we're reminded that housing and mental health are deeply connected.

For families experiencing homelessness, the daily challenges of finding safety, stability and certainty can affect every aspect of life. Behind every statistic is a parent carrying immense stress, a child seeking routine and a family working toward a brighter future.

At Inn from the Cold, we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. When families have access to housing and support, they can focus on healing, building connections and pursuing their goals.

Today, we stand with all those experiencing homelessness and renew our commitment to ensuring families have the resources and support they need to thrive.

For two years, Emma House has provided a safe, supportive home for pregnant women experiencing homelessness and their babies during one of life's most important stages.

At Emma House, mothers receive more than housing. They gain access to wraparound supports, health care, life skills development, and a community that helps them build strong foundations for themselves and their children.

Today, we're celebrating the strength, resilience and achievements of every mom and baby who has been part of the Emma House community. Here's to two years of creating brighter futures together. ❤️

A full house, and a full heart. ❤️

Last week, all 52 townhomes in our Whitehorn family housing community became fully occupied, marking an important milestone for the families who now call this community home.

Developed in partnership with HomeSpace Society and Miskanawah the community offers more than housing. It provides onsite supports, connections to resources and spaces where families can build relationships, foster belonging and create a strong foundation for the future.

We're grateful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality and excited to see this community continue to grow.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.
This day honours Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, while recognizing the ongoing impacts of the Residential School System and our collective responsibility to advance Reconciliation.
At The INN, we recognize that Truth and Reconciliation is not limited to one day each year. It is reflected in the work we do every day to create culturally responsive, family-centred supports, build respectful relationships, and better understand and address the systemic barriers that contribute to homelessness for Indigenous families.

🚫 Myth: Most families become homeless for complex or unusual reasons.

✅ Fact: For 65% of families assessed, the reason was straightforward: they could no longer afford rent, were temporarily staying with others, or were facing eviction.

Family homelessness is often driven by housing affordability, not personal failure. As rents rise and household budgets are stretched, more families are finding themselves one unexpected expense away from housing instability.

That's why early intervention and family-centred supports matter. Together, we can help families maintain stability and avoid a housing crisis.
