Rob is a lifelong resident of District 13, Charlottetown-Brighton. He grew up and attended local schools here, graduating from UPEI and Holland College. He and wife Kelly raised their sons Brodie and Ronan in Charlottetown-Brighton; it’s where he represented residents for two terms on Charlottetown City Council, and where he has volunteered with community groups like the United Way and the Colonel Gray Education Foundation. Rob is an advisor, partner and investor in new business startups in the bioscience, sports technology and renewable energy sectors, and he worked as a consultant in the IT sector for more than 20 years. Rob is focused on working with you and for you as the MLA for District 13, Charlottetown-Brighton.

To the first responders and medical teams who answered the call, thank you for your care and courage.

Islanders have a proud history of service, and when members of the Canadian Armed Forces are hurting, we feel it too. Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts today, and check in on the military families and veterans in your community.

This World Food Day, thank you to our farmers, fishers and producers. Through school lunches, summer meals, food banks and community meals for seniors, our Government is taking action to get good food to every Islander who needs it.

I spent some time last week in West Prince with Minister Ernie Hudson and we stopped in to visit Jeremy and Jennifer Clark at Montrose Meats.

They showed us their operations and told us about the work that goes into bringing fresh, local Island meats to tables across West Prince and beyond. Businesses like theirs keep our rural communities strong. They create jobs, support local farmers, and give Islanders a place to buy quality food.

Great ride yesterday with the leadership of the PEI ATV Federation at the Tignish Sportsman Riders Club alongside Ministers Ramsay and Hudson. Thank you to Peter Mellish, Vicki Hardy, Larry Waite and Joe Bernard for a fantastic afternoon on the trails.

The Federation's dedication to promoting safe, responsible riding, environmental stewardship, and trail etiquette continues to make a positive impact in communities across Prince Edward Island. Their volunteers and leaders deserve tremendous credit for the work they do to support and grow the sport.

Our government is proud to support the Federation, including through legislative changes that will help expand PEI's trail network and create new opportunities for riders and communities alike. ATVing not only connects people with the outdoors, it also delivers significant economic benefits through tourism, local spending, and community events.

Thank you to the PEI ATV Federation for your leadership and commitment. We look forward to continuing to work together to support riders, strengthen our trail system, and grow this important sector across the province.

There was a strong turnout for the PC Party District 26 Annual General Meeting tonight. I spent the afternoon touring with Minister Ernie Hudson hearing what's important to the people of West Prince. At the AGM this evening, Ernie announced his intention to be a candidate in the next election. Ernie is a strong advocate for Alberton-Bloomfield and West Prince, and he is committed to continuing his dedicated service to the people of this area.

It was great to be at DEFSEC in Halifax yesterday connecting with leaders across the defence and security sector. Proud to see many Island businesses attend, along with members of our Defence Strategy Expert Panel.

Our Island has the talent and expertise to play a larger role in Canada's defence industry. Conversations like these will help shape the future of defence in PEI.
