Estevan Fire Rescue

10/13/2026

As you take care of your yard this season, please remember that leaves and other natural debris should not be placed on roads, sidewalks, boulevards, or in ditches within the City of Estevan.

These materials can clog storm drains and lead to drainage issues or flooding. Thank you for helping keep our community safe, clean, and well-maintained this fall season. 🍂

This year’s theme for Fire Prevention Week is Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.

Help us spread the word that everyday actions can help prevent lithium-ion battery fires.

Use your charging superpower by making smart choices every time you plug in. 🔌

We're kicking off Fire Prevention Week with a friendly reminder that a few simple habits can make a big difference in protector your home and family 🔥

From testing smoke alarms to keeping exits clear and having a fire escape plan, fire safety starts with some basic, but important, tasks.

While meeting our Fire Department might be on some people's wish list, we'd prefer to say "Hi!" at tomorrow night's Open House from 5-8pm, and not in your driveway while making a house call 🚒

Join us in Estevan on September 30th for the Sask Burn Fund Fuel Up Day! ⛽️

Throughout September, participating Esso & Fas Gas locations across Saskatchewan are donating a portion of fuel sales to the Sask Burn Fund.

On September 30th, come out to Estevan Fas Gas to fill your tank and firefighters will be on location for a period of time around lunch!

Come fuel up, meet some of your Estevan firefighters, see the truck and help support an incredible cause in our community. 🔥

Every fill-up helps!

🚒 Announcement!!! 🚨

Tonight (August 25th) we will be conducting vehicle extrication scenarios at the fire station. Please don’t be alarmed if you drive by today and see these mock scenarios set up. We do have a mannequin placed under the one car!

We try to train our members by creating scenarios that they could come across on a scene. We will have the area cleaned up tomorrow. We thank everyone for your understanding!

🚨🦝 Jimothy's Fire Safety Tip! 🦝🚨
The internet's favorite raccoon may be known for causing a little mischief, but today Jimothy is setting a good example! 🧯

Even curious critters know that smoke alarms save lives. Take a minute today to:

🔥 Test your smoke alarms.
🔋 Replace batteries if needed.
🏠 Make sure you have one on every level of your home.

Jimothy may enjoy dumpster diving... but he's leaving the fire safety to the professionals. 😉

Stay safe, stay prepared, and remember—it's always cooler to prevent a fire than to meet your local firefighters because of one!

📸 Thanks to Jimothy for helping us spread the word (and for staying out of trouble... at least for today). ❤️🦝
