Emily recommends... 'A Good Person' by Kirsten King

I * think * this is the sort of book where you're supposed to dislike the main character - she's a messy, obsessive narcissist who makes ALL the wrong decisions... and yet she and her increasingly disastrous life make for a compelling read, and her acerbic inner monologue is often laugh-out-loud funny.

I laughed, gasped, and thoroughly enjoyed this dark and compulsive page-turner.

🧩 Friends of the Library Puzzle Sale 🧩

The Friends of the Library are hosting a Puzzle Sale on Saturday, September 19, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the lower level of the library. Pick up a gently used puzzle, discover a new challenge, and help support library programs and services at the same time.
We're also accepting puzzle donations in good condition (with no missing pieces) until September 12. Share your completed puzzles with fellow puzzlers and support a great cause!

That's a wrap on our sea-riously fun Summer Reading Club programs! 🦭🐙🐠🌊🦀🐬

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us this summer. Whether you picked up a reading record, borrowed stacks of great books, joined a themed program, came to our launch party, or celebrated with us at the medal ceremony, we hope your summer was fin-tastic and full of great stories!

Thank you to Mayor Morrison for joining us to present medals to our summer reading champions! 🏅

A big shoutout to our 2026 Summer Reading Club Coordinators, and the teen volunteers who helped support us at every program. You are all superstars! 🎉
