Looking to get out of the rain with a fun indoors activity? We've got just the thing:

It's Games Night with Mike at the Library tomorrow!
Tuesday, August 25th 5:30-8:30 pm in the multipurpose room.

Join us for a fun, free night of board games! This event is open to adults, teens, and children with a caregiver. Come on down and join in the fun; bring your friends or family if you think they'd enjoy it.

If you can't make it this time, plan for the next one: Wednesday, September 16th.

The Prince Rupert Library is hiring!

The Prince Rupert Public Library is seeking an Indigenous Storyteller in Residence for Fall 2026. This part-time position runs from September 1 to December 12, 2026, with compensation of $10,000 to $15,000 for 14 weeks on a self-employed basis.

The successful candidate will split their time equally between developing a personal creative project and delivering library programming that promotes Indigenous culture and storytelling through any artistic medium, including oral, written, visual, musical, or performance-based work. The residency is open to Indigenous artists with strong community connections to Lax Kxeen, Prince Rupert, and the surrounding area.
