Tonight at the Library!

This Thursday come hear from Dr. Spencer Greening in Coastal Conversations: Deep - Time Tsimshian Relationships with Coastal Ecosystems.

Join us as we dive into deep-time ecological relationships with knowledge and the Ts'msyen (Tsimshian) people that have lived with and helped shape the coast we reside on. We will discuss Ts'msyen concepts of ecological stewardship, the spiritual morals and values around harvesting in a coastal ecosystem, and how certain methods of Ts'msyen harvesting create abundance and biodiversity. We will share insights into how we might take some of these ancestral lessons into our own backyard and relate better to the ecosystem we are a part of.

Thursday, October 8th 7-8 pm at the Prince Rupert Library | Wap Liitsx
This is a free event, open to everyone.

The Coastal Conversation series is brought to you by the North Coast Ecology Centre Society in partnership with the Prince Rupert Library | Wap Liitsx.
