👉Rachel's latest book recommendation is "Everything Sad is Untrue" by Daniel Nayeri.

📝"Mrs. Miller says I have 'lost the plot,' and am now just making lists of things that happened to fill space. But I replied that she is beholden to a Western mode of storytelling that I do not accept, and that the 1,001 Nights are basically Scheherazade stalling for time, so I don't see the difference."

🌍Here is Rachel's review of the book: "This unusual literary YA novel is centred on Khosrou, a 12-year-old Iranian boy recently moved to Oklahoma. The author deftly weaves stories together, through memories and across time, to immerse us in Khosrou's world. While the content is appropriate for middle-grade to young adult readers, the writing style is challenging. The novel has no chapter breaks and is best appreciated when read in long stretches. Overall it is beautifully written and highly recommended."
