📱Inniu seoladh TuarascĂĄil 10 sa staidĂ©ar Saol Scoile PĂĄistĂ (CSL):

đŸ«Saincheisteanna Bunscoile: MaireachtĂĄil agus Foghlaim LaethĂșil i Saol Scoile PĂĄistĂ.

🔱Tugann an staidĂ©ar CSL, a raibh beagnach 4,000 pĂĄiste ar fud 184 bunscoil pĂĄirteach ann, lĂ©argas ar leith ar eispĂ©iris laethĂșla na bpĂĄistĂ ar an scolaĂocht.

📊Le TuarascĂĄil 10 CSL tugtar le chĂ©ile torthaĂ ThuarascĂĄil 1-9 chun na tosca is mĂł a bhfuil tionchar acu ar fhoghlaim pĂĄistĂ ar scoil a shainaithint. Baintear leas inti as torthaĂ Ăł na cĂșig bliana den staidĂ©ar, ag dĂ©anamh iniĂșchadh ar thorthaĂ foghlama pĂĄistĂ agus ar a mĂșnlaĂonn iad.

👧👩Leis an tuarascĂĄil, fĂ©achtar ar conas mar atĂĄ cĂșrsaĂ i scoileanna agus i seomraĂ ranga, agus ar na bealaĂ a dtarlaĂonn foghlaim agus teagasc iontu gach lĂĄ.

Léirítear an méid seo a leanas le torthaí Thuarascåil 10 CSL:
🟣Go dtuairiscíonn páistí ó theaghlaigh shaibhre go bhfuil siad níos folláine ná páistí atá thíos le bochtaineacht.
🟣Go mĂșnlaĂonn struchtĂșir shochaĂocha nĂos leithne, comhdhĂ©anamh na scoile agus an comhthĂ©acs ĂĄitiĂșil cultĂșir foghlama sa seomra ranga ar bhonn gnĂomhach.
🟣Go bhfuil nasc lĂĄidir idir saibhreas/bochtaineacht agus cĂ© chomh maith agus a Ă©irĂonn le pĂĄistĂ i rĂ©imsĂ na lĂ©itheoireachta agus na matamaitice. Mar shampla, baineann pĂĄistĂ i scoileanna DEIS agus iad siĂșd atĂĄ thĂos le bochtaineacht torthaĂ nĂos Ăsle amach i dTrialacha CaighdeĂĄnaithe (an Mhatamaitic agus an LĂ©itheoireacht).

📱Today marks the launch of Report 10 in the Children’s School Lives (CSL) study:

đŸ«Primary School Matters: Everyday Living and Learning in Children’s School Lives.

🔱The CSL study, involving almost 4,000 children across 184 primary schools, provides a unique insight into children’s everyday experiences of schooling.

📊CSL Report 10 brings together findings from across Reports 1-9 to identify the factors that influence children’s learning most in school. It draws on findings from the five years of the study, examining children’s learning outcomes, and what shapes them.

👧👩The report looks at what schools and classrooms are like, and at the everyday ways learning and teaching happen within them.

CSL Report 10 findings show:
🟣Children from more well-off families report higher wellbeing than those who experience poverty.
🟣Wider societal structures, school composition and local context actively shape classroom learning cultures.
🟣A strong link between wealth/poverty and how well children do with reading and mathematics. For example, children in DEIS schools and those experiencing poverty achieve lower results in Standardised Tests (Mathematics and Reading).
