𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐏𝐍𝐆’𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐋𝐀𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌: 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐍𝐆’𝐒 𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄

Minister for State Enterprises, Hon. William Duma, was given a tour of Datec PNG Limited's new flagship showroom in Lae by Datec PNG CEO Mr Preetam Talukdar, following the official opening on the 31st July 2026.

During the opening, Minister Duma described the new facility as more than an investment in infrastructure, highlighting what it represents for Papua New Guinea:

The new showroom strengthens Datec PNG’s presence in Lae, Papua New Guinea’s industrial and commercial hub, providing businesses, organisations, students and individuals with greater access to modern ICT products, services and technology solutions.

Kumul Consolidated Holdings PNG continues to support investments across the SOE portfolio that strengthen service delivery, encourage innovation and contribute to Papua New Guinea’s economic and digital development.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, 30 July 2026, the Minister for State Enterprises, Hon. William Duma, said the project represents more than the construction of a modern banking facility—it reflects confidence in NDB’s future, the people of Morobe and the Government’s commitment to empowering Papua New Guineans through accessible finance and enterprise development.

The new facility will strengthen NDB’s ability to serve SMEs, MSMEs, farmers, market vendors, transport operators and entrepreneurs throughout Morobe and the wider Momase Region.

Momase currently receives approximately 21.2% of NDB’s total MSME lending, with Lae, Madang, Wewak, Maprik and Vanimo emerging as key growth centres.

KCH is proud to support NDB’s transformation and its Corporate Plan 2026–2028, which prioritises financial inclusion, agricultural and value-chain financing, digital transformation, stronger governance and sustainable growth.

Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) has received a K2.17 million dividend from the National Development Bank Ltd (NDB) for the 2024 financial year.

The dividend reflects NDB's improving financial performance, with the Bank recording a Net Profit After Tax of K4.34 million and delivering its second consecutive year of profitability.

NDB continues to play a vital role in supporting Papua New Guinea's agriculture sector, MSMEs, women in business and rural enterprises by providing access to affordable finance and helping drive inclusive economic growth.

KCH congratulates the Board, Management and staff of NDB on this important achievement and looks forward to the Bank continuing to create value for the people of Papua New Guinea.

PNG Ports Corporation Limited Presents K22.5 Million Interim Dividend to Kumul Consolidated Holdings

Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) received an interim dividend of K22.5 million from PNG Ports Corporation Limited, reflecting the company's strong financial performance and continued commitment to delivering value for the people of Papua New Guinea.

Declared from PNG Ports' 2025 Net Operating Profit After Tax of approximately K90 million, the dividend highlights the important role that well-managed State-Owned Enterprises play in driving economic growth, strengthening national infrastructure, and generating sustainable returns for the State.

In 2025, PNG Ports:
⚓ Facilitated approximately K28.9 billion in annual trade.
🚢 Recorded 4,838 vessel calls across its network.
📦 Handled 10.8 million tonnes of cargo.
🌏 Continued connecting communities and supporting businesses through its nationwide port network.

The dividend presentation reinforces the Government's commitment to building efficient, transparent, and commercially successful State-Owned Enterprises that contribute to national development and improve the lives of Papua New Guineans.
