🙏 Thank You Kavieng – Insightful Discussions & Warm Hospitality

The Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA), in partnership with the Office of the State Solicitor (OSS), extends our sincere appreciation to everyone in Kavieng, New Ireland Province who participated in the PNG Tourism Sector Legislation Review Consultations.

We had engaging and meaningful discussions, with valuable insights shared on what Kavieng and the wider New Ireland Province need to strengthen the tourism sector — particularly around conservation, culture, and the need for stronger connections between communities and government to improve tourism in Papua New Guinea.

There’s a well-known saying in New Ireland — “Yu Yet Kam Na Pilim” — and throughout our time in Kavieng, we truly felt that spirit through your strong presence and the warm hospitality of the New Ireland people.

👏 Thank you to all stakeholders, operators, and community members who contributed to these important conversations.
