I checked all seven claims against scientific and statistical sources. The infographic mixes a few real facts with several unsupported or misleading viral claims.

Claim Verdict Why

1 “There are more empty houses in the world than homeless people.”

⚠️ Unproven / misleading There is no reliable global census of vacant homes, and definitions of “empty” and “homeless” vary substantially between countries.

The UNDP currently estimates 300+ million homeless people, but that cannot be cleanly compared with a global vacant-home total.

2 “A dead body might still move a little even hours after dying.”

🟡 Partly true Small involuntary postmortem movements or changes in limb position can occur, and muscles undergo complex changes after death. However, rigor mortis itself doesn't make a co**se move; it causes stiffening.

So the infographic's wording is plausible, but its spooky implication is exaggerated.

3 “You can't read or tell time in a dream.”

❌ False People can see clocks and watches in dreams. A study analyzing 12,476 dreams found clock/watch imagery, and documented dreams in which clocks played a role in managing time.

Dreams can make clocks or text behave strangely, but there is no universal inability to read or tell time.

4 “People with mental problems, including psychopaths, often say their favorite color is blue.”

❌ False / unsupported There is no established scientific basis for diagnosing psychopathy or mental illness from favorite color. The claim appears to be internet folklore rather than a finding from clinical psychology.

5 “Only two days in your life aren't 24 hours long: your birthday and the day you die.”

❌ False Your birthday is simply the anniversary of your birth; it isn't inherently a shorter day. A calendar day is conventionally 24 hours, although Earth's actual rotation varies slightly.

The day someone dies can of course contain fewer than 24 hours of that person's life, but that's not the same thing as the day itself being shorter.

6 “On average, we unknowingly pass by 14 murderers in our lifetime.”

❌ No credible evidence I couldn't find a credible epidemiological or criminological study supporting the specific number 14. It's a classic viral-statistic claim with no defensible universal average.

7 “Your brain can make up fake memories that feel totally real.”

✅ True This is well-established memory research. Experiments have shown that people can develop vivid memories for events or objects that never actually occurred, sometimes with considerable subjective confidence.

Actually supported:

#2 (with qualifications) and #7

Some truth but presented badly: #1
False/unsupported: #3, #4, #5 and #6

So despite the headline saying “actually true,” only about 2 of the 7 claims hold up well as stated. The biggest giveaways are the overly precise numbers (“14 murderers”), the sweeping psychological claim about blue, and the absolute statement about dreams.

One particularly interesting correction: #3 is almost the opposite of what the infographic suggests. Researchers have actually studied clocks appearing in dreams, and they do occur—just relatively infrequently.
