FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SUSPENDED (PRESCHOOL TO GRADE 12)

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong suspended face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5 in view of the Orange Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA.

Schools shall implement the following alternative delivery modes to ensure learning continuity;
a. Modular Distance Learning
b. Online Distance Learning
c. Blended Learning.

Public schools shall implement the appropriate HINAY protocol in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of learning.

Classes at all levels in both private and public educational institutions are suspended on August 4, 2026 due to Tropical Cyclone Luis and the enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon, bringing moderate to heavy rains and strong to gale-force gusts over Northern Luzon.

However, schools are encouraged to implement the following alternative delivery modes to ensure learning continuity;
a. Modular Distance Learning
b. Online Distance Learning
c. Blended Learning.

Likewise, the number coding is suspended.

August 3, 2026 - Monday

Upon the recommendation of the Department of Education (DepEd) – Baguio Schools Division, Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes in Baguio City from PRESCHOOL to GRADE 12 (both public and private institutions) beginning 12:00 noon today, August 3, 2026, due to the effects of Tropical Depression Luis.

The suspension is in response to Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 4 issued by PAGASA, indicating that Tropical Depression Luis is bringing light to moderate, and at times heavy, rainfall over the Province of Benguet, including Baguio City.

Pursuant to Department of Education Order No. 22, s. 2026 on Localized or Granular Face-to-Face Class Suspension, affected public schools shall implement their Learning and Service Continuity Plan (LSCP) to ensure the continuity of learning and the delivery of essential services.

The public is advised to continue monitoring official announcements from the City Government of Baguio, PAGASA, and DepEd for further updates.

Please stay safe and exercise caution, especially when traveling in areas affected by heavy rainfall.

A clean and healthy community starts with each one of us! 💚

The Sangguniang Barangay of Fort Del Pilar warmly invites all residents to join our Weekly Clean-Up Drive every Thursday. Together, we can keep our streets, parks, and neighborhoods clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone.

We also encourage every household to practice proper waste segregation and adopt the 4-Bin Waste Segregation System:

🟢 Biodegradable – Food scraps, leaves, and other compostable waste
🔵 Recyclable – Plastic bottles, paper, cardboard, glass, and metal
🟡 Residual – Non-recyclable and non-compostable waste
🔴 Special Waste – Batteries, light bulbs, electronic waste, and other hazardous materials

By segregating our waste properly, we reduce pollution, increase recycling, and help protect our environment for future generations.

📢 KATARUNGANG PAMBARANGAY TRAINING CONDUCTED TODAY ⚖️

Today, the Sangguniang Barangay of Fort Del Pilar successfully conducted the Katarungang Pambarangay Training for the Barangay Council, Lupon Tagapamayapa Members, and Barangay Tanod.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Sigfred C. Bumangil of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Baguio City, who shared valuable insights on the proper implementation of the Katarungang Pambarangay Law, conflict resolution, mediation, conciliation, and the roles and responsibilities of barangay officials in promoting peace and justice within the community.

This activity strengthens the capability of our barangay officials and volunteers to provide effective, fair, and accessible dispute resolution services, ensuring a more peaceful and harmonious Barangay Fort Del Pilar.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sigfred C. Bumangil and the DILG Baguio City for their invaluable guidance and support.

Students, parents, and school personnel are advised to monitor official announcements from the City Government of Baguio and their respective schools for further updates and guidance. Stay safe and take all necessary precautions.
